I don't want to and will not pay for an invoiced service charge to a company that "according to their records" serviced my HVAC system late at night without any proof of contact or signatures from my spouse or myself. I don't think anyone else would either? BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After a power outage on 7/29/10 I had issues getting my HVAC system to work correctly. On the morning of 7/30 I called B & R Heating and Air and requested a service tech for system inspection/troubleshooting. Later that afternoon I was checking the outside relays and got my system working. I then contacted said company to let them know I had the system working, but would still like to have a service tech come to check out the system just in case. I also requested an E.T.A. for service. The gentleman I spoke to said he would contact the serv rep and let me know. Neither I nor my spouse ever heard back from him or was contacted by anyone from said company (via phone or otherwise).
A week later on 8/7 we were blind-sided by receiving an invoice for a service call of $65? I contacted the company office on the morning of 8/9 to discuss the issue. The rep told me that their records show a serv rep came late that night and all of the lights were off and it was serviced then? I explained to her that I wasn't paying for service that may or may not have been performed. I told her I would gladly pay for any services that were performed, if I had valid proof that something was done to fix a problem with my system. She then stated "When I initially spoke to you on the phone I didn't expect you to pay us for our service anyway! And don't ever call or contact us for service of any kind ever again!" Then she hung-up the phone on me! After I calmed down, I filed a complaint with the BBB office, as well as made a second attempt to resolve my issue with them by requesting to speak with the company owner. A message was taken, but I've yet to be contacted by said person(s) or anyone else.
They go to great length not to honor thier warranty.
